Love makes you glow…and so does Lilah B. Aglow Priming Oil

I am not wearing any foundation in this photo, just the Aglow priming oil!

Okay okay, I know that my last blog post was all about lash primers, so I guess I am just on a primer kick! Its like how a really good bra can make a huge difference in how your clothes look, a really good primer can make a huge difference in how your make up looks!

I have tried lots of primers in my day. A few that I have tried:

Tatcha Silk Canvas primer: I love Tatcha products so I expected to love this one but it was just meh for me. I really didn’t think it did anything for my skin and my makeup didn’t last as long so double fail. Also, its expensive!

Smashbox primer: this is the first primer I ever tried and ummm no. I have concrete dry skin and this made my makeup slide off like an oil slick. I personally also did not like the way this felt on my skin.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Primer: Tarte is another brand I love, but this primer wasn’t something I would wear daily. I was intrigued by the name “quench” but I felt like it made my makeup look dull.

Tula Face Filter Primer: Okay, I know this is currently an unpopular opinion but I don’t get the infatuation with this brand. I think its just okay at best and this primer was the same. A lot of people rave about this primer (a lot of people are paid to do so) but I thought it was just okay. It really dried my skin out around my eyes, which I hated because it made me look older. It did make my makeup stay on pretty well but ultimately I threw it in my drawer with all the rest of the products I have wasted money on and not liked. Oops.

Etude House Face Blurring Primer: This is a different product. It goes on white and smells like sunscreen but I actually like it. Its slightly too drying for my skin, but If you don’t have dry skin then I love this one! It really makes your makeup go on so smoothly and last! And, the price on this is so good! I couldn’t link this one below, so if you want to check this out, here is the link:

So, you get the picture. I have tried a lot of primers. Most were blah for me until I found the Lilah B. Aglow Face Priming Oil. OMG. This stuff is incredible. If you have dry skin, or if your skin is dull then this is a product for you!

This primer is a three in one serum, moisturizer and primer. It literally melts into your skin as you apply and it smells like lavender (it does have a scent when you first apply that quickly goes away but just a sidenote if you are sensitive to scents on your face). The texture of this primer is like velvet on your skin and it truly gives you the most amazing glow. The pictures don’t do it justice! I love a dewy look when I apply my makeup. I feel better when I feel like my skin is moisturized and glowy. I can honestly say right now that I have never applied foundation to my skin without doing my entire skin care routine and liked the way it looks until I found this product. There are many days where I just apply this primer and then foundation and my skin doesn’t look dry at all! That is amazing for me to say I assure you!

Another wonderful thing about this product is that it is a clean product. It is free of sulfates, coal tar, parabens, formaldehyde (I was shocked to find out that some makeup contains formaldehyde) and many other gross ingredients that you don’t want to slather on your face. It is free of a list of over 50 ingredients that allows it to be considered a clean product. It also comes in a glass jar which I love.

If I had to say anything negative about this (and I don’t have to, I just want to be as thorough as possible) I would say that although I love the way this makes my makeup look, it doesn’t help to extend the life of my makeup. I feel like my foundation stays put a little longer throughout the day when I don’t wear this. The instructions do say to let this absorb well before applying makeup which I admittedly don’t usually do #aintnobodygottimeforthat. That might make a difference in the wear, I am not sure. For me the tradeoff is totally worth it because I love how it makes my skin look. The only other negative is the price. It’s an expensive product. Worth it, but expensive.

I highly recommend this product if you like a glowy, dewy look. You can also wear this alone with no foundation for no makeup days! I have done that and love it. All my dry skin ladies, check this out! It is one of the best new products I have tried in a very long time! Click here to purchase: I have also included the other primers mentioned just in case you want to try any of them. They are all great products, they just didn’t work for me.

Lights, camera, lashes!

It’s been a little bit since I have posted on here because things have just been absolutely crazy lately! I have missed this! My sweet hubby injured his back and was pretty out of commission. With a 6 month old, my hands have been very full. Then, Nashville was sadly hit with a tornado where many people lost everything, including the loss of life. My husband’s office was right in the path of the storm and was completely demolished. He has been scrambling trying to set up a home office on the fly. There just has been so much going on that my attention has been required in other areas, but I am ready to get back to normal and back to posting! #2020youcray!

I wanted to jump right in with a beauty review because I just love beauty reviews so much! I think we can all agree that 2019 was the year of the lash-am I right? People seem to apply the old saying “the bigger the better” when it comes to lashes these days, and I am here for it! Lash extensions and lash lifts are all the rage, but they are very expensive and time consuming! Since big ole lashes have definitely found their way into 2020, I thought I would compare two different lash primers! I can say without hesitation that lash primers make a HUGE difference in how voluminous and long your lashes will look when you apply mascara. I actually wore mascara today with no primer, and wow, what a difference! I have two primers that I switch between, so I thought I would compare them! One is drug store and one is high end. Click here to purchase the primers and also my current favorite mascara:

On my right eye, I am wearing Urban Decay Subversion with one coat of mascara. On the left eye, I am wearing Loreal Voluminous primer with one coat of mascara.
Ok this is CLOSE! I feel like my relationship with you all just went to a whole new level LOL but I wanted to show you an up close view of my lashes so you could really see the primers. And, be kind about that undereye situation, I have a 6 month old ๐Ÿ™‚
Urban Decay right eye, Voluminous left eye.

Okay now on to the comparison!

1. Urban Decay Subversion Primer

Pros: I absolutely love this product! I truly do go back and forth between the two, but at the end of the day this one has a slight edge.

  • My lashes feel overall more voluminous with this product.
  • They stay curled longer and don’t seem to fall as much.
  • My lashes seem stiffer and not as soft with this product. This may not sound like a selling point, but for me it is because it helps them to stay “up” and not fall as the day goes on.
  • I can use one coat of mascara with this product.

  • More expensive (it’s $22)
  • One tube doesn’t seem to last as long
  • The product seems to gunk up around the top where it screws into the bottom.
  • You have to purchase this at Ulta or Sephora, so it’s not as convenient to just grab when you’re at the grocery store or drug store already.

2. Loreal Voluminous Primer:

I have literally used this product since high school (and that is a LONG time people).

  • Very affordable and convenient (this one is $8.99)
  • Goes on very easily and smoothly-easy to apply
  • It provides much more volume than just mascara alone.
  • Doesnt gunk up around the top!
  • One tube will last a really long time

  • Doesn’t provide quite as much volume as Subversion
  • Thinner product so my lashes don’t curl quite as much with this
  • My lashes seem to fall flat quicker
  • I need to apply 2 coats of mascara with this primer instead of just one with the other primer.

Overall, I really love both of these products and have re-purchased them over and over. You honestly can’t really go wrong either way! If you are a makeup lover like me and don’t mind spending a little more cash, then go for the Urban Decay. But, if you just want to try it out first and don’t want to shell out a lot of money, then definitely try the Loreal Voluminous primer. Either way, just use a primer and thank me later! There are so many products out there promising to make a difference but this one actually does!!

Little white dress

If you have ever looked at my blog, or my IG then you know I love dresses. They are hands down my most favorite thing to wear. I love the ease of dresses while still looking like you put some thought into your outfit. Not to mention that Spring and Summer in the south are hot, hot, HOT. I can’t even imagine wearing jeans during these seasons!

Even though the grass in my yard hasn’t gotten the memo, Spring is on the way. We have had a few sunny, warm days here that act as a little tease for warmer days ahead. I love nothing more than to frolick in the sunshine in a beautiful dress. Okay, maybe I don’t really go frolicking, but I do love to go to lunch, go shopping, run errands, hang out with friends and so on in a beautiful dress. My favorite kind of dress in warmer months is a white dress. There is something so simply perfect about an all white dress. This one I’m wearing here is no exception. It is cotton jersey and oversized which means it is truly as comfortable as it gets. It literally feels like you are wearing pajamas. Now imagine this dress with a nice (spray) tan and a fun handbag and you are set for so many warm weather activities. This dress will take you from cookouts to church to the beach! I have it styled here with wedges but there are so many other ways to style this little white dress. Sharing a few ideas below:

For the beach:

Running errands:

Brunch with friends:

Here are a few ways to style this easy dress, but honestly get creative because the possibilities are endless! This dress makes me crave Spring and warm sunny days on a patio! Check out the “shop my Instagram” box to shop everything posted here!

Recent beauty hits and misses…

I love to try out makeup and beauty products. Nothing gets me more excited than a bag full of goodies from Ulta or Sephora. And, even though my husband rolls his eyes at me every night, I enjoy my (sometimes lengthy) beauty routine. Some of the products I have tried recently were total hits and others not so much. I thought it would be fun to share a few products that I have been loving and a few that were misses for me.

Let’s start with the hits:

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid + B5 serum: If you have ever read any of my blog posts, then you know that I struggle with dry skin. I have always had dry skin but as I have gotten older, it has become much more apparent. My skin often looks like it needs to be plumped up and that is exactly what hyaluronic acid promises. I have tried several products over the years with hyaluronic acid as an ingredient, but I have never noticed much of a difference in my skin. That is until I tried this serum by The Ordinary. It uses 3 different molecular weights of HA to ensure absorption into the skin. It is also combined with B5, which helps to enhance absorption as well. I have been intrigued by this brand for a while. They have a lot of great reviews, and are priced very very low. For instance, this serum retails for $6.80! It is vegan, cruelty free, alcohol free and silicone free. It comes in a nice, thick glass jar. So far, I have been very impressed. When I apply this product, it feels like a drink of water for my thirsty skin. I know that sounds clichรฉ, but I literally couldn’t think of another way to describe it. My skin instantly absorbs the product. I feel like I have noticed a difference in my skin, and I feel like my makeup goes on more smoothly too! Overall, a great product!

Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara: Holy cow this stuff is GOOD. I have seriously tried a million different mascaras and this blows them all out of the water. I have a tried and true Maybelline one that I love and have used forever, but I have to say it has taken a backseat recently. This mascara gives amazing length and volume and does not clump. And it also doesn’t flake, which absolutely drives me crazy when some mascaras flake all over your face. I cant express how much I love this mascara! I can’t say that I won’t continue to try new ones here and there but I can say it would be difficult to beat this one! ( I am in the shade radiant rose)

Neutrogena Hydroboost Lip Shine: This lip gloss is incredible. I know that may soud intense in reference to a lip gloss, but if you try this you will see! Not only is my skin very dry, but my lips are even worse. I have tried every lipstick, gloss, mask, scrub, and balm known to man. I have tried products that seem to soften my lips but after it wears off, they are dry and flaky again. That is not an attractive look. I can honestly say this gloss leaves my lips soft and not dried out even when it has worn off. I was so skeptical when I purchased this, but now I am a total believer. I am sitting here as I type this in shock at how smooth my lips feel after I have been wearing this all day. I do want to mention, that it is a gloss so the color is not as pigmented as a lipstick. Some reviews also said it felt thick, however, I like the texture and it didn’t bother me at all. It retails for a little over $7 and I cant wait to buy all the shades!

Okay, and now for a few products that were misses for me. Keep in mind that everyone has different skin so these products may work for you!

Caffeine Solution:
LA Girl Pro Conceal:
Real Techniques sponge:!google!Product_Listing_Ads&cagpspn=pla&CATCI=aud-835019021962:pla-39469501601&CAAGID=19364078310&CAWELAID=330000200000039656&CATARGETID=330000200000347353&CADevice=c&gclid=Cj0KCQiAs67yBRC7ARIsAF49CdWqrZUXsgkCPAYY_AxyU0zqQW56pL9aZ-DBaBfpP53nC-3PgkNW0X4aAnf4EALw_wcB

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG. I am a nurse by day and was recently having a conversation with a surgeon about some of the skin issues I have been having since having a baby. One of those issues is major dark circles. He mentioned to me that topical caffeine can be really effective to treat dark circles. I had seen this product by The Ordinary and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it was a big flop for me. I did not notice any difference in my dark circles, but what I did notice was an increase in dryness. That is a huge deal for me who already struggles with dryness! I can not say with 100% certainty if this product would have decreased my dark circles over time or not because I discontinued use after a few weeks. If dryness isn’t an issue for you and you want to try a topical caffeine, this only costs $6.70 so it might be a great place to start! Bonus: caffeine has been shown to reduce cellulite in some studies so maybe Ill try it on my thighs…who am I kidding, there isn’t enough caffeine in this world to help my thighs ๐Ÿ™‚

L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer color corrector in yellow: This product is supposed to help correct and neutralize purple/blue undertones. I wanted to try this to see if I could use this alone, or in conjunction with my concealer to help me look less like a racoon. Unfortunately, this product did nothing for me. It didn’t even look like I had applied anything at all and did not work in conjunction with my concealer. It has a nice little applicator brush, and only costs $5.00 but for now I will stick with my Becca undereye brightener (its amazing by the way).

Real Techniques makeup sponge. I like to use a damp Beauty Blender to apply my foundation, however, I don’t like paying $20 plus dollars for said sponge. I saw this Real Techniques sponge at Ulta and I loved the case that came with it, so I thought I would try it out. It was a big fail for me. The texture is very different from a Beauty Blender and it did not evenly distribute my foundation at all. Its like the texture of the sponge didn’t mix well with my foundation and it smeared it on my face rather than blending it. I really did not enjoy this product at all. It retails for $5.99 which is great, but it was a no go for me!

These are all the products I am reviewing today! I hope you found this helpful if you have been considering trying out any of these products recently!

Think pink…

Earrings: Mine are from Asos and are recently sold out, but these linked look very similar:

One of my sweet little Valentines this year ๐Ÿ™‚
Ella’s sweater:

February is the month of love and all things pink. You can love your friends, your mom, your hubby, your dog, or just love yourself! Who ever you want to celebrate this Valentine’s day, do it in this adorable pink blazer with pearl buttons. Now, I have never been too invested in this day because I like to celebrate my loves everyday, but it’s a holiday that is filled with the color pink so here we are! My husband and I are going to go out to dinner a few days after Valentine’s day (just the two of us) which I am looking forward to. We love including Ella in whatever we are doing, but sometimes it’s nice to use both hands to eat ๐Ÿ™‚

I was reading about the origins of this holiday and it appears that Valentine’s day is an ancient Roman holiday that was celebrated in mid-February. The holiday (according to the all knowing Google) apparently celebrated the coming of spring and fertility rites and the pairing off of women and men by a lottery. I also read that some believe it dates back to the third century in Rome when Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than married men so he outlawed marriage. Valentine continued to celebrate love and would perform secret marriages for young lovers in defiance of the emperor. No matter where this holiday of love comes from, I hope you spend it with someone that makes you smile and feel loved. <3.

Now back to this blazer. I love the beautiful, muted pink color and adore the pearl buttons. It is so cute with jeans, but if you are really daring, you could wear this as a short dress with some awesome shoes. It is definitely oversized, so if you are going to wear with jeans, size down. I love the classic silhouette in such an unexpected color. And, the price point is awesome! I have it on with heels, but it would also be awesome with boots or cute flats. You can easily wear this from work to dinner, so its actually pretty versatile! I am also envisioning a more edgy look with some kind of black combat boots, or some high waisted mom jeans.

I hope you have a great Valentine’s day (and everyday). Go out with friends or stay home and snuggle with your dog but either way show yourself a little love!

Amazon the Drop

I would be wasting my breath to ask are you familiar with Amazon? Obviously, everyone is familiar with Amazon. I think Amazon is taking over the world to be honest. There is nothing you can’t find here. Use your wildest imagination and I bet you can find it on Amazon. So, we know that everyone knows about Amazon, but have you heard of Amazon the Drop?

The drop is an exclusive line that is created by global influencers. The collections are “dropped” on Amazon, and once they are gone, they are gone. The drop at different times with little notice, and the items are only available for 30 hours (there is literally a countdown clock on the page when you go to order). The items are made when you order them, so it does take a little bit longer to receive your product. I know we are all spoiled by Amazon Prime. But, these collections are worth the wait! If you follow Amazon the Drop on Instagram, you can even vote and have input on different fabrics, colors etc. used in the collections. So, how do you know when these collections drop? You can follow them on IG like I mentioned, or you can sign up for text alerts.

I was literally drooling over the last collection. It was by influencer Ellenor Kim (@spreadfashion) and I am telling you I wanted EVERY SINGLE PIECE in the collection. I settled on a printed, balloon sleeve top that is beautiful. I didn’t have anything like it in my closet, so that is why I ultimately chose this top. This specific top isn’t available anymore (which is kind of cool) but make sure to check out the drop. It is a great way to experience a range of different styles and you may (you definitely will) find something you just cant live without!

Hat: My exact hat is old from the brand Brixton, so I am linking a very similar one:

And now a really silly pic but I was so excited it was snowing. This light dusting is the great snow of 2020 for Nashville-hey I will take what I can get ๐Ÿ™‚

I thought it would be fun to show a few other items from the collection that I didn’t get. I am kicking myself as I write this because I seriously love all of these pieces. I rarely see a collection where I want each and every item, but this is definitely one. Here are a few other pieces I loved (all of these pictures are from Amazon):

5 Month Baby Girl Update

As I type the title of this post, I am sitting here in disbelief that I have a 5 month old baby! I know it sounds clichรฉ, but it literally seems like yesterday we were on our way to the hospital to meet our little girl. We are first time parents and had no idea what we were getting into. But, wow, it has definitely been better than anything we could have imagined. Now that Ella is 5 months old, I thought it would be fun to share a quick update and also share a few of her favorite products and a few things we use all the time!

Our little Ella is so full of life. I know I am her mom, but seriously, her smile lights up a room. It is like nothing I have ever seen before. And don’t even get me started on her laugh. Thank goodness no one can see me dancing around and making ridiculous faces all day and basically anything I can do to make her laugh. She is curious about everything and loves to sit up (with help) more than anything. Everyday she is learning something new and I watch in awe. I can see her little brain developing right before my eyes and it is truly a beautiful experience.

Okay, so on to share a few products that Ella loves, and a few that mom loves!

This outfit is brought to you from 1983 ๐Ÿ™‚ It was mine when I was a baby.

I have talked about this chair so many times before, but it is truly our most used baby product ever. We have so many other seating options including a high tech swing that we can control from our phone. But, this $50 Fisher Price number is the bees knees. We use this every single day and Ella absolutely loves it. It vibrates, plays music and has a mobile that hangs down that provides lots of entertainment. It also bounces which is clutch for a fussy baby. I honestly cant recommend this chair enough. Save your money on all the fancy options (trust me, I have them all) and thank me later.

Bandana buddy toy:

Meet Frederika the fox. This little fox is Ella’s best friend and is never to far away. Now Ella has a bedroom full of every kind of doll, stuffed animal, lovey you can imagine, but none compare to Freddy. This fox has lots of entertainment options. Her ears are krinkly, which Ella loves. She also has a teething toy that hangs down and a little rattle with colored balls that Ella is captivated by. And, her little whiskers are apparently really fun to try to grab. She also loves to grab the yellow ring on Freddy’s head. Anyway, you get the idea. I would highly suggest this toy or something similar that has several options to keep your sweet little one occupied for a few minutes if you need to use two hands for a task.

Play gym:

This play gym is another toy that we couldn’t live without. There are a million different ones available at all different price points. You don’t need an expensive one, just one with fun colors and lots of accessories to look at. These little stars and moons rattle and squeak and are very entertaining to a 5 month old. She uses a lot of energy playing here and it helps to get her good and ready for her naps!

Car seat/stroller toy:

Are you sensing a theme here? Ella likes bright toys that she can look up and see. This little number from Amazon has been a lifesaver. That may sound dramatic but I am being serious. The giraffe plays “Its a Small World” which is apparently Ella’s all time favorite song. If she is fussy in her car seat, all I have to do is press the little giraffe and she is all smiles.

You can also get this one personalized, which is such a cute option. I will literally personalize/monogram any and everything!

Hooded towels are an absolute must for a baby! I read this on lots of baby registry idea lists and now I know why. We use these every single time we give her a bath. Little babies can’t regulate their temperatures as well as adults and they can quickly get cold when they are wet. As soon as we take her out of the tub, we put her in her chair (see another great time to use this chair) and wrap her up! I love that her little head is covered so she doesn’t get too cold! This one is from West Elm + Pottery Barn and is so thick and nice, but we have several cheaper ones that work great too!

Books, books, books. Ella loves books. She has a few favorites, including this krinkly Sesame Street one. It makes a lot of noise and it has a rubbery corner which is great to chew on. She is a big fan! Another favorite of hers is called “Good Morning Farm Friends” by Annie Bach. She gets so excited to look at all the farm animals and to try to turn the pages of the book herself! My hubby is a total book worm, so I hope Ella is too! We are part of an amazing program (where we discovered this farm book) called Imagination Library. It is headed by Dolly Parton (you only thought you couldn’t love her more). It’s a program that mails great books to children from birth to the time they start school, regardless of income. You just go online and register and then you start receiving amazing books for your babies! It is an incredible program (totally free) and is available in the US, Canada, Ireland, Australia and the UK currently.

Car seat/nursing cover:

Okay, this car seat cover may be something on my list rather than Ella’s, but either way, you need one if you have a baby. This stretchy fabric covers the car seat and protects your baby from germs. It is cold and flu season, so I always have this on if we are somewhere crowded. It also provides a nice darkened environment if she is napping while we are out. Lastly, its great to keep them covered if its raining and you have to get out. I love this thing and never leave home without it! The fabric is very stretchy and can double as a nursing cover or a cart/highchair cover! Truly a must have for anyone with a baby!

Nasal aspirator:

The last item that I want to mention is definitely not a glamourous one! I decided to spare you all the pictures, but if you are a parent, please read on. Have you heard of the Nose Frida? OMG. I had heard of this product for years from friends with kids, but never imagined myself using one. However, when your little baby is congested and can’t blow their own nose, trust me you will want one! Ella’s little nostrils are so tiny that a traditional bulb suction won’t work for her. Also, they harbor bacteria. The Nose Frida contraption works like a champ! Their motto is “suck it snot” and that is just what it does. It sounds funny, but it works so well. Trust me, its amazing. We also use the humidifier from this brand with their vapor drops and we love it so much. It has a sleek design and will run all night long once its filled up (it also has a soft glow nightlight if you need one). We have several other “Frida” products like nail clippers that we absolutely love (do you know how scary it is to clip a tiny baby’s nails?). This line of products are just great and obviously created by parents who know the deal! I highly recommend this whole line!

These are just a few products that we are loving now that out little one is 5 months old (time SLOW DOWN). There are so many products out there, it’s hard to know what to choose! The items on this list are all tried and true and come highly recommended from sweet Ella! I hope this helps.

And just a few more because she is so cute….

Polka, polka…

Okay, did anyone get the Home Alone reference in the title? I have to admit that is one of my favorite movies and I have seen it way too many times. It is literally all I could think about when I was writing the title for this post. Please forgive the bad joke, but it made me smile ๐Ÿ™‚

Now on to this dress. When I saw this dress, I instantly fell in love. The dress gives off a vintage vibe to me but still feels fresh and new. The pattern and color combo are different than anything else I own. I tend to repurchase the same outfit over and over (does anyone else do this?) so when I find something different that fits well, I have to have it! I love adding such a happy dress to my closet!

The fit of this dress is very flattering. Given that it is still cold and dreary outside, I have this paired with nude booties. But, it will also look adorable with sandals or wedges in the spring! I love transitional pieces like this. There are so many ways to wear this dress, so I thought I would share a few ideas! I love a versatile piece.

Option 1: Add a cute hat and cross body bag and you have a boho look!

Option 2: Throw on a denim jacket and wedges for Spring nights that are still a little cool.

Option 3: Unbutton the dress and wear it with jeans and a cute white tank. It can double as an over shirt/cardigan!

I love to be creative with my wardrobe. A piece like this can be worn so many different ways so you really get your moneys worth!

Blue Jean Baby

My name is Summer and I have a problem….I buy way too many pairs of jeans. Seriously, I am always on the hunt for the perfect pair. I am short (only 5’2) and pretty curvaceous. Finding jeans that fit me just perfectly is challenging at best. If you are built like me and need some inspiration, then this post is for you!

I have found that buying petite jeans is always the best option for me. I have also found that I tend to need to size up one size in petite jeans. The length is perfect, but in my experience, they tend to run on the small side. I like for jeans to hit right at my ankle, which means I need a 25′ inseam. That is difficult to find to be honest. A lot more retailers are offering short options now, however, most of them have to be purchased online.

My favorite places to buy jeans are Old Navy, American Eagle and Loft. They have a wide selection of trendy, petite length options. They are very reasonably priced and frequently have sales! Jeans come in so many shapes and sizes these days, so I thought it would be fun to show a few of my favorite styles!

#1: Black skinnies: These are by far my most worn pair of jeans. They are soft and stretchy and so comfortable. I personally feel like black jeans are the most flattering option and look so chic! You can also easily dress them up if needed.

These jeans have a raw hem and are by far my most worn pair!
Booties similar:

#2: Crop Flare Jeans: This is a trend that I was afraid to try, but once I did I loved! I own several different pair, but I love these distressed ones. They are a more casual option, but add a “cool” touch to any outfit!

Sweater is old from TJ Maxx
Jeans: When I took these pics, these exact jeans were in stock but as I am checking the link they are sold out ๐Ÿ˜ฆ These are very similar:
Mine are color “tortilla suede”

#3: Distressed “boyfriend jeans”. I love this laid back style! They are effortlessly cool and oh so comfortable. They look adorable with a sweater or a graphic t-shirt and moto jacket. The possibilities are endless with this style.

I love a good maxi dress

Dresses in general are my most favorite thing to wear. They are flowy and beautiful and so forgiving when you have one too many pieces of pizza. I love plain dresses and printed ones, short and long. As long as the dress is flowy and not tight, then I am there for it.

I live in Tennessee, which means that in the summer time it is hot, hot, HOT. Trust me when I say you do not want to be caught wearing jeans in the summer time! We do have a winter here, but honestly it is usually pretty mild. You thought this was a post about dresses, but now you are getting educated on the weather in Tennessee, haha. Okay the reason I am telling you this is because you can wear dresses here most months of the year!

I love to wear dresses in the spring and summer with a cute pair of sandals or wedges. I also love to wear dresses in the fall and winter with a cute jacket and pair of boots. If you read this blog much, you will find that dresses are one of my loves and I style them frequently! This floral maxi is from H&M and is so affordable! I adore the print and the movement of the dress. It has lovely details and makes me feel happy every time I wear it! I have it paired with boots here but it will look equally as adorable with sandals as the temps start to rise. I find a lot of adorable and affordable dresses at H&M, Red Dress Boutique, Amazon and Old Navy. If you want to spend a little bit more money but find beautiful and unique options, then I love to shop Anthropolgie and Free People!
